Scotts is home to two bars, Scotts Bar and the Horseshoe Bar and Courtyard, one of the biggest beer gardens in town and even a hotel, Scotts has everything you need for a great day or night out in Killarney.

Both Scotts Bar and the Horseshoe Bar and Courtyard are notorious around Killarney and with good reason.  Live music, the largest screen in Killarney, and a vibrant atmosphere is the perfect recipe for a great time.

If you are visiting Killarney and wondering where to go, Scotts will always cater to you needs. Whether you want to sit down and relax with a few friends or experience a lively and energetic atmosphere filled with live music, we have it all and do it all.

How do we do it all? Well it’s simple really, Scotts is one of the oldest pubs in Killarney, in business since 1930, so we know how to put on a good show.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our General Manager, Dan McCarthy. Dan was not just part of the staff here in Scotts, but for over 30 years he has been the foundation of the hotel. From the banks of the Lee to the heart of the Kingdom, a proud Cork man through and through, Dan brought more than just his expertise when he moved to Killarney over three decades ago; he brought the legendary Cork wit, an unbreakable work ethic, and a genuine passion for people. While he never lost his love for his native rebel county, he became a true son of Killarney, weaving himself into the fabric of the local community and the tourism industry he loved so dearly. Though he has checked out for the final time, his influence will remain in every corner of this hotel and in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
From the O’Donoghue family, the management and team at Scotts Hotel, we give our deepest condolences. Our thoughts are with Dan’s family both here in Killarney and Cork, as well as his extended family and many friends during this difficult time. He will be deeply missed by everyone at Scotts.
